In short, now any app that you want to use to download an APK (a file manager if you’re sideloading, Chrome if you’re downloading directly, third-party app store etc.) needs to be authorized to allow the installation of unknown apps.
With that, however, comes a pretty large change in how you enable that installation in the first place.
